Recap of: Monday November 5th.
Midd kids in London at the Rocket, or student pub down the street. I decided to take Jess and Sarah to the English pub and they tried some fruity drinks with me. They were actually quite tasty and the mango one was better in my opinion. They arrived around four on Monday, we caught up, settled in and then went to eat Indian food before going out to the Rocket. Summary of seeing friends again: Midd kids rock and I miss them!!!

Recap: Tuesday, November 6th
So today was the day in which I explore parks. Actually to be perfectly accurate, we started out with a not so great breakfast in Russell Square cafe, however it was so beautiful out and a nice lady was willing to take a picture of the three of us. It is however on Jess's camera and I don't have a copy yet, so that's coming soon. Good picture yes yes. Anyway after that we continued down towards Trafalgar Square. This was fun because with them there I was able to scramble up (and be helped down) to the Lions....hence the posing below
I had to get down and get up again to get in front of the lion and this height was higher than getting up to stand on his tail, Sarah however is very strong and was able to help me down both times! Horray!

After the square we headed down to Buckingham Palace where all the guards and hoopla made us wonder what was up.
We found out that the Queen was opening Parliament and was expected to come back through to the Palace by 12:15, it wasn't too long of a wait, so we took a stroll (beautiful day again! to highlight this!), through St.James Park over to the palace itself and then walked a little ways back towards Trafalgar square to find a place near the road to watch for the Queen.
And then came the Queen, the one with the horse's head in the way is mine, Sarah took the one where you can sorta see her profile (if you look really hard!).

We then walked to Victoria's palace theater to get tickets for the next night's Billy Elliot show. From there we walked up to Hyde Park, grabbed a street hot dog or more like a sausage I guess...Jess got a chicken burger. We then went into and sat on a bench in sunny beautiful fall colored Hyde Park to eat. Once we finished we started walking. Stunning............
Goofing off by the lake. First Jess "tried" to pull Sarah in, then Sarah tried to throw me in, then Jess and I were almost about to go for a swim (note almost).

Continuing the walk towards Kensington Gardens
On the bridge before the entrance to Kensington Gardens...all the posts had gulls on them
And into the next garden, again beautiful and peaceful
Kensington Palace (former home of the late Princess Diana) beyond the man made lake
Inside the gardens near the palace itself
Leaving Kensington Gardens and walking back through Hyde Park as well.
Okay back to paper again for a stint. Wednesday recap will be up later tonight, or more likely at this rate tomorrow sometime after the paper is turned in.
